Dr. Ayalon is the founder of the Center for Amputation Reconstruction at NYU

Dr. Ayalon founded the Center for Amputation Reconstruction at NYU along with Dr. Jacques Hacquebord in 2019 in order to create a multidisciplinary center for the surgical and prosthetic care of patients who have lost limbs.

These patients often are dealing with significant pain, phantom limb sensation, and suboptimal prosthetic options. We employ state-of-the-art surgical techniques, and pair them with the most up-to-date prosthetic technology to offer these patients significant functional, pain, and cosmetic improvements.

Dr. Hacquebord and myself treat these patients simultaneously with our team of prosthetists, hand therapists, and mental health specialists once every month.
